THE REGISTRATION PROCESS

Thank you for your interest in Indian Prairie School District 204, Prairie Children Preschool. Above is a link to the preschool registration form for the 2008-2009 school year. 
Please read the registration information carefully.

A confirmation letter or waiting list letter will be sent to you.  Families who are accepted into the Preschool and then withdraw for any reason will not receive a refund of their deposit.

RESIDENCY REQUIREMENTS: Prairie Children Preschool is only for families who reside in District 204 boundaries.  Due to this residency requirement, the Preschool Office must be notified when you move and a smooth transition will be planned with the school.  Proof of residency is required with your registration.

AGE REQUIREMENT

All children must be 3 years old by September 1st of the current school year.

PRESCHOOL HOURS

The Preschool schedule is designed to coincide with the elementary school schedule.

The morning session is: 8:15-10:45 A.M.
The afternoon session is: 12:15-2:45 P.M.

Staff is available 15 minutes before school starts for you to drop off your child.

TUITION AND FEES

A non-refundable $30.00 deposit is due at the time of registration.

Monthly tuition is as follows:
3 Day Program - $190.00
4 Day Program - $220.00

Families will receive payment slips to accompany each monthly payment. The yearly tuition is divided into 9 equal payments paid monthly on the first of the month. The rest of the first tuition payment is due June 2nd and is the payment for September. The remaining eight installments are due the 1st school day of the month, September through April. A late fee of $10.00 will be charged for payments not received by the end of the grace period stated on your tuition slip. There is no reduction of tuition due to illness, absences or days school is closed.

3 day program $190.00 X 9 months = $1710.00
4 day program $220.00 X 9 month = $1980.00

There is a 10% discount off tuition for other siblings in the program. Tuition will not be refunded if your child leaves the program.

SNACK

Children are responsible for bringing their own snack and drink to school. This is due to the large number of children with allergies to various foods.

FIELD EXPERIENCES

Field experiences are based on units of study. Firemen, dentists, puppet shows bring experiences to the Preschool.

RESIDENCY REQUIREMENTS

All families must reside in District 204 for your child to attend Prairie Children Preschool. The District 204 boundaries encompass parts of Naperville and Aurora. You may call the District office at 375-3000 if you are unsure if your subdivision is within 204 boundaries. Families will be required to show proof of residency upon acceptance to the Preschool. Families moving into the district must attach a copy of their home contract to their registration form to indicate the date of the move.

RELOCATION OUT OF DISTRICT 204

Due to the residency requirement, any relocation out of the district 204 boundaries will prohibit the continuation of your child in the Preschool. Upon notification of relocation a timely transition will be provided.
